1. What The Job General is
The Job General ("the Service"), operated by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], is a tool that reads texts, emails, and files a builder receives from their subs, clients, and vendors, and organizes them into a per-project budget, schedule, and to-do list. It is invite-only — accounts are created by a builder or an existing account owner, not through public signup.
2. Accounts
A builder account is accessed by phone number and a one-time texted code, not a password. A builder is responsible for keeping access to their own phone number secure, since that phone number is how the Service verifies who is logging in.
3. SMS Terms
Consent. A phone number only receives messages from the Service once a builder using the Service has added that number as a contact on one of their own projects. By providing their number to a builder for this purpose, a contact consents to receive text messages related to that project from the Service on the builder's behalf.
Message types. Project-update confirmations, occasional clarifying questions (e.g. asking which of two projects a message is about), and follow-up messages a builder sends through the Service. The Service does not send marketing or promotional messages.
Message frequency. Varies based on project activity — typically a handful of messages per week for an active project.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any message thread at any time to stop receiving further texts from that project's number. Reply HELP for support, or contact us directly at [SUPPORT EMAIL].
Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. Acceptable use
The Service is provided for legitimate construction project management communication. It may not be used to send unsolicited, unlawful, or abusive messages, or to contact anyone who has not engaged with a builder on a real project.
5. "Mirror, not manager"
The Service organizes and surfaces information from messages a builder's contacts send — it does not make financial, scheduling, or contractual decisions on a builder's behalf. Any change above a builder-configured dollar threshold, or anything the Service can't confidently classify, is held for the builder to review and confirm before it's ever reflected as final.
6. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
